It’s the roaring 20’s; a time of hope, prosperity, industrialisation, liberating fashion, jazz and family trips to the good old British seaside.

Keen to take in some of that ‘bracing sea air’, the Balderdash family have joined the many other Britons that make the pilgrimage to the coast for sun, sea and sand each summer.

Unfortunately their stay has coincided with a rather gruesome murder. Eustace Tait, friend of the family and a well known art and antiquities dealer, has been found dead on the promenade. Coincidence?

Someone at the resort is obviously responsible for his death, but the question is, whodunnit?

The Cast:

• Brigadier John Balderdash - Head of the family
  Wealthy and loud, Brigadier Balderdash expects his family to be well drilled and operating at peak efficiency.



• Charlotte (Lottie) Balderdash - The Brigadier’s wife
  Homely and comfortable, Lottie dotes on her husband and her daughter and has very few faults.



• Carlotta (Lotta) Balderdash - The Brigadier’s daughter
  Never without her sketch pad, Carlotta creates sculptures and has an artistic temperament which matches her appearance.



• Vincent Creswell - Traditional English Gentleman
  Chivalrous and car-mad, Vincent Creswell is reliable, honest and absolutely scrupulous.



• Reverend Verde - The local vicar
  Submissive and carefully enunciated, Reverend Verde enjoys his garden, his knitting, and tending to his Christian flock.

Never run a large group mystery before? Then don't panic!

Hosting a Large Group Murder Mystery is time consuming, but with ample preparation and a good cast it is really quite simple and great fun!

In large group games it is impossible to give everyone a part, instead the mystery involves “cast members” who are fully in the know and act out the mystery, and the guests act as detectives trying to solve the murder.

Large group games come in several different formats, clue based, cast based, multi-room, single room, or a mixture of them all.

This particular game requires 5 cast (who are fully in the know) and the use of 1 large dining room . One murder occurs before the guests arrive and one during the evening. The game is constructed to be run during a formal dinner.

Your guests play the role of detectives. You can have any number of detectives for this mystery, your only limit is the size of your room, however we would suggest a number no greater than 200.
